We all inherit traits from our parents or from our family line – the things about you that remind others of your mom or dad.
We also have inherited down through the ages something much more problematic – the sin nature that is in all of us, and it is not a proper reflection upon our Father in heaven.
In fact it is the the family trait that He wanted to erase so much that He sent His only Son to die for us in order to offer us a permanent and eternal solution.
Our problem is the blind spot that the enemy works in all of us so that we either don’t see the sin nature we have or we ignore it, refusing to see it as a problem.
The very root of this sin nature is a reflection of satan himself – that we are higher than God, and our self interests are what is paramount, not His.
We’ve all heard people who ask how a loving God can send people to hell.
That is the devils spin on that – fake news, to use a term we’re all familiar with. The truth is that because of our inherited sin nature we are all bound for eternal separation from God, but His free gift is there for everyone to get on the right path and change our eternal separation from Him.
He is not sending you anywhere, but holding out His hand to rescue you!
