Focus on the Eternal

“You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times. (Matthew 16:3)

There are way too many things happening in the world today, and the ability for us to focus on them is of great temptation. The reality is we don’t know how they all fit into God’s plan, so what we see as bad and evil may well be necessary for His plan to come together especially in these last days.

We must learn to interpret what is happening around us through the filter of His Word, not through our emotions.

So we should certainly pay attention to what is going on around us, but not be consumed by it.

Instead we must learn to keep our focus on the eternal!

“Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.”
(Colossians 3:2-4)
