“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7)
In this life we WILL encounter tribulation or distress.
But none of these can separate us from the love of God. The only thing that can do that is ourselves.
The key – having the right response.
That is the ultimate power.
A heart that refuses to see the present but see’s the ultimate destination will give us the courage and mindset to hold on no matter what the world throws at us.
His love rises over all.
Without that mindset we allow ourselves to be tossed to and fro by the events of life.
With it, we realize we are in control, and the only way we lose our peace is by responding inappropriately.
