Be Ready…

“Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.” (1 Peter 3:15)

If you pay attention to the news at all, it’s clear things are spiraling downward. Of course, many are looking at life in America getting better, while others think we are headed toward destruction. But cast your eyes outside of our country, and there are still wars and rumors of wars aplenty. Lately division is coming even more heavily and more often within our own borders.

Wherever God takes us, it’s clear that division, disputes and conflicts are going to continue. That doesn’t mean things are out of control – all is under God’s control and he is not panicked or worried. All is proceeding according to His plan as laid out in scripture.

Every day it becomes more clear why we need to know what we believe and why. It isn’t enough to just feel good about our faith and religion – the time may well be coming sooner than we think that we will need to have an answer ready at our lips.
