Seasons

If anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! (2 Corinthians 5:17)

As we head into winter, reading about new life gives hope & perspective in the midst of fall when things are dying and preparing for winter.

It’s a reminder that no matter what the world looks like around us, Christ is giving new life daily to those who believe. For those of us who have already accepted Him as Lord, Jesus is renewing our hope and faith daily, even if you may be in a season that feels like things are falling away.

His desire is that we become so identified with Him that nothing in this world will shake our faith or cause us to longingly look back at our old life before Christ.

Am I at the point that if all were to disappear God would still be enough? While I pray that I am never put to that test, that is how battle ready He desires us to be – that no blows from the enemy would cause us to lose our focus on the only Person that will never fail us.

Winter is coming. I can feel the early start of it in my bones, and it’s a reminder that we all have dark and cold seasons in our life, but the Son is still shining in our lives!
