Patience

Moses . . . went out to where his own people were and watched them at their hard labor. He saw an Egyptian beating a Hebrew, one of his own people. (Exodus 2:11)

Have you had a dream or vision for something that just didn’t seem to pan out? If it hasn’t happened, do we assume that it means the answer from God is “No” when it may be “Not yet”?

We get an idea in our mind, and think we are completely ready to put it into action, and it may be that God is saying more time is needed for our personal spiritual growth. We need more time in the crock pot of life to add maturity, discipleship, experiences, etc. to mold us into the person He wants us to be.

The walk with Christ is a continual lesson in patience. He is never done with us. There is always more we can do in order to be more like Jesus in all we do, trusting in Him for the right timing in all things.

Join me today in remembering again that God is in complete control of everything.

The dream, idea, or project we’ve been waiting for may not be dead, but waiting for God to complete making us ready. We must calm our souls and be ready to wait as long as it takes. God is going to do what He wants to do, no matter how much we worry.

In Isaiah 46:10 God says: “I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, ‘My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please’.”

When we really rest in Him, and understand His authority, it helps us be patient as we wait in assurance for Him to work in our lives.

He may not answer right away us or even give us what we think we need, but He will provide what is best for us when it is best for us.

That is a certainty we can rest in.
