Conduits, not Containers

He who believes in Me…out of his heart will flow… (John 7:38)

Being a follower of Christ does not involve finding our true self, meditating on ourselves, self-development, or even finding our inner Jesus. He has one desire – that we should become more and more like Him in every way possible.

It’s not about earthly blessings – He does with to bless us as we make it through this life, but even that is not the measure as there have been and will be countless people who never see the blessings they long for in this lifetime, but yet we all are blessed beyond measure with the hope that is coming for the church, as well as knowing where we will spend eternity.

“Our spiritual life cannot be measured by success as the world measures it, but only by what God pours through us— and we cannot measure that at all.” (Oswald Chambers)

Don’t store up what God gives or reveals to you, but look for ways to pass it on – we are called to be conduits, not containers.
