Walk while you have the light, before darkness overtakes you. (John 12:35)

As Christians we use a lot of big words and sometimes we may not fully understand what they mean. Sanctification is one that gets used a lot – what does it mean?

Merriam Webster says this:

– To set apart to a sacred purpose or to religious use : CONSECRATE
– To free from sin : PURIFY

For a thing to be sanctified means it is set apart for a special use. So, when we are saved, Christ has set us apart for His purposes (Consecrated) and He desires our lives here on earth to be free from sin (Purified).

On a practical note, how does your relationship with Christ make you different?

Can others tell you are set apart for His purposes?

Do your words, actions and responses let others see Christ at work in you?
