Complete in Him Alone

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened. (Matthew 11:28)

“…it is never God’s will that we should be anything less than absolutely complete in Him.” This quote from Oswald Chambers summarizes into one sentence God’s hope for us – being complete in Him, not completed by ANYTHING else.

Satan’s big lie to us today mirrors what he told Eve in the garden: “…your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God…” (Genesis 3:5)

He taunts us through music, ads, and every kind of mental assault with his attempts to convince us that we can be complete with this item, this relationship, this fad – everything but God. Satan wants us to try to be and complete without God, or better yet be our own gods.

Self aware people seek to complete themselves.

Christ aware people seek completion from Him.

“God has so made man’s heart that nothing can ever fill it but God himself.” (Charles Spurgeon)
