Continual Contact

Didn’t you know I had to be in my Father’s house? (Luke 2:49)

“Am I continually in touch with the reality of God, or do I pray only when things have gone wrong— when there is some disturbance in my life?”

This quote from Oswald Chambers is the centerpiece of living the Christian life. We are to be continually in touch with our Father at ALL times, not just when things aren’t going to well.

This doesn’t mean we all need to be on our knees 24/7 to have a relationship with Him. Your mind is always working, so use that!

Turn your brain chatter into an internal dialogue with Him throughout the day. A relationship isn’t always about asking for help or guidance. Often times the most meaningful part of our relationship is when they just share their thoughts and lives with us.

Our Father yearns for us to do the same with him.
