Real Strength

“For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. FOR WHEN I AM WEAK, THEN I AM STRONG” (2 Corinthians 12:10)

We need to see ourselves as our God and Creator sees us – we are both wonderfully and fearfully made, but we are also inhabiting bodies that are mortal and weak in a world corrupted by sin, which makes it impossible for us to live a holy life without total reliance upon Christ..

Oswald Chambers wrote “The person who is still relying and trusting in anything within himself is the last person to even come close to saying, ‘I will serve the Lord.’ ”

We must choose, with childlike faith, to allow Christ to work in our weaknesses to rely fully on God and not on ourselves or our own efforts. Whatever is before you that is being considered allow God to be part of your planning and decision process so that in your weakness He may be glorified.
