Rest

Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden,
and I will give you rest. (Matthew 11:28)

This verse was what I needed to read this morning.

It’s been a busy season.

I think we all get caught up in being so busy not only with our work and personal life, but also with the added stress of watching the world go mad. We need His rest, not necessarily to make life better as there is no promise we won’t have rough times during our earthly lifetime, but rest in the midst of chaos, discord and disorder.

There is much in the world that doesn’t make sense right now, but His rest will give us the “peace that passes all understanding.” (Philippians 4:7)
