Gratitude

Not to us, O Lord, Not to us but to your name be the glory because of your love and faithfulness. (Psalm 115:1)

How often to we look for things that God has done in and around us and give Him the glory and praise for it? For most of us, not often enough. I know, because I regularly blow past those opportunities as well.

Life gets busy and we fail to notice His blessings that are around us daily. Or we look for the big things to praise Him for, not realizing how present he is in the small details of our life. Again, I’m a serial offender.

Take time today to think of the everyday things you can be grateful for, and give thanks and glory to God.

We need to live life that way as as much as possible, remembering that all the good around is there because of his mercy, grace and provision. Really, at the bottom of it all, everything is either granted or allowed by Him.

Gratitude is an excellent way to start out the day. I chose this morning to be grateful for all I see around me.

We need to live a life of grateful dependence on Him.
